In this workshop, we’ll explore the 5G ORAN architecture, focusing on its key components and security challenges. We’ll dive into Nephio which is a Kubernetes-based cloud native intent automation framework and Nimbus which is an intent-driven security operator that helps mitigate vulnerabilities associated with 5G networks. Participants will learn hands-on how to mitigate some common 5G vulnerabilities such as 5G UDR sensitive data assets, Unauthorized access to Network Exposure Function (NEF) via token fraud, Malicious network functions & Subscriber data exfiltration using Nimbus adapters on Nephio.

All workshop attendees should download and install GCloud CLI before coming to the workshop as wifi bandwidth at the venue may be inadequate to support the very large download.
